An abundance of things to see and do...

Clos des Saveurs is set in the heart of French wine country at the gateway to the Dordogne.  There is an abundance of things to see and do, from the world heritage listed site of St Emilion, to the grandeur of the city of Bordeaux, to the enchanting cobbled streets of Bergerac, to hidden corners and rural French villages to stumble upon.

The historic city of Bordeaux is just a short drive away.

Bergerac

Smaller than Bordeaux, Bergerac has a very enchanting centre of individual shops, traditional cafés and bistros, fountains, cobble stone streets and a market every week.  The town of Issegac nearby is also worth a detour – especiall for it's atmospheric Sunday market.

Sainte-Foy-La-Grande

Take a stroll by the river in Sainte-Foy-La-Grande

The perfect place to stop at a café terrace and watch the world go by.  Full of local French characters, an evening stroll around  the town square is a must.

Saint-Emilion

The beutiful centre of Saint Emilion

Home to the king of French reds, St Emilion is both a living, breathing wine town and one of the most beautiful villages in France.  Full of history, no visit is complete without a walk around the characterful city walls and their steep cobbled streets before of course indulging in a well deserved glass (or two) of the local speciality.

Vineyards and Châteaux

From the heavy, rich reds of the Haut-Medoc to the honey like desert wine of Sauternes to citrusy  sauvignon blanc of Entre-deux-Mers, a visit to a vineyard is a must.  Please contact us for more information.
